In this sermon preached by Phillip Slaughter, Paul reminds the Philippians (especially Euodia and Syntynche) that God, peace, and unity possess more depth and value than the pain you experienced or the bitterness that remains. Rather than focusing on conflict and anxiety, Paul says to think about things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, anything excellent, and anything worthy of praise. He tells them that doing this and following his example (which he received in Christ) will lead to the God of peace being with them. God, peace, and unity possess more depth than the pain you experienced or the bitterness that remains.
