In this sermon preached by Phillip Slaughter, Paul encouraged the Philippians to follow his example as he followed Jesus. If we want to effectively teach people how to follow Jesus, we must show them what that looks like with our own lives. In addition, he warns them that many people who claimed to follow Jesus decided to turn away from him in order to pursue their own desires. He ends this section by encouraging them to stay strong and remember that these hardships and temptations will one day come to an end when Jesus returns.
